Can we learn something new together?

It is the first line of my Instagram bio, and it is the question I would most like to open every conversation with.

I like companies that treat learning as part of the work. Canva once cleared the calendar for its whole team and gave us a week to do nothing but learn about AI. Spending that week with thousands of curious minds felt a bit like attending a university from the future.

It reminded me that companies are not only places where work gets done. They are also spaces for collective learning, exploration and growth. The future will be shaped, in part, by the people who can build and sustain that kind of culture.

The opposite of that culture is inertia: the wish to keep doing things the way they have always been done. I wrote about it once, starting from Plato’s cave. The prisoners resist leaving, not because the cave is good, but because it is familiar. Institutions do the same. The ones that can move their own foundations keep growing; the ones that can’t end up in the dusty pages of history.

So, can we learn something new together? I’m asking seriously.
